this is just about the worst day of all times... I'll start from the beginning, it all happened yesterday... it was like every other day in my life; go to school, come home, play video games, and sleep but this day was different. when i came home i went upstairs and went on to my computer and began checking out DA (as always) but then my dad called my name, "Nathan, come out here it's about Bam (my very loyal cat)." so i come out of my room and what do i see, my cat sitting near an open window with it's mouth wide open breathing hard. at first i thought the cat was out of breath from chasing the other cats, but soon realized that he must be sick or something. I ask, "what's wrong with Bam?" my dad replies, "he seems sick, i saw him outside with a gofer, that was two hours ago but now i think he maybe poisoned." i was kind of shocked to hear that, but i knew that he was a pretty tough cat when it came to all these types of things, but couldn't be too careful so i said, "why don't you take him to the vet?" My dad reminding me said, "we don't have any money to take him." then my little brother cut in, "then why don't you call them and ask?" My dad rolled his eyes and went back downstairs and took out a phone book and dialed the number. "hi i believe my cat has been poisoned, is there anything i can do for him?" He asked. "bring him down here to the vets office and we can take a look." the annoying squeaky voice said on the other line. "thanks anyway." My dad said ending the call right there. "well we will have to wait and see if he gets better tomorrow." once he said that bam, still with his mouth wide open breathing heavily went down stairs so i followed. we went in to the living room and i sat on my lazy boy couch and kept an eye on bam as he laid down on to the wooden floor. for a couple of hours i played some CoD: WaW on my xbox 360 and the day continued on. then when it was 9:30 i went up to bed but didn't fall asleep until 10:30 since i kept thinking of what would happen to Bam. the next day i find him laying on the couch looking even worse then before breathing has become very low and drool coming out of his mouth. i began to worry so i asked my mom if i could stay home from school so i can keep an eye on the cat. she agreed and i checked up on the cat every 10-30 minutes to see how he was doing. he had moved from the couch at 12:00 PM to the far corner of the room and laid there. after i checked on him over and over i went back to check on him at 2:30... i heard a faint sound of thunder in the distance and the beginning of rain hitting against the roof. i looked down at Bam who was lying there still. i thought he must of been very tired and began to sleep but then noticed something strange, he never blinked. so i put my ear against his chest to see if i could hear his heart beat... nothing... his body had gone completely cold from the 20 minutes i was gone to see if i had anything to eat. i knelt there for ten minutes in disbelief. then realized it was over, he was dead... it was thew worst time i have ever seen in my life. the rain was coming down from outside the window, distant sounds of thunder, and my cat laying motionless on the floor...
